I work on location at various high schools aroung the bay - as far south as Cupertino, and as far north as Napa - as well as working at Prestige's multiple studios. The job requires good aesthetic composition, the ability to work with a wide variety of people, and the ability to edit photos quickly and accurately on-site.   4/09 - 4/11  GRAPHIC DESIGNER  Unvarnished/Honestly  San Francisco CA Ongoing contract job for Honestly, a consumer-facing peer review site start up. I was responsible for initial brand aesthetic identity and site design, user interface (UI) design, and other graphics needs. Since the rebranding / renaming (formerly called “Unvarnished”), I’ve handled occasional illustration work for Facebook-related imagery. Examples of my work: web design, logos   5/07 - 10/08  GRAPHIC DESIGNER  Spleak Media Network   San Francisco CA  As the graphic designer, I gave the product a new look for the company relaunch, and handled  all graphics needs. Major accomplishments included aesthetic design for websites, widgets, IM skins, social networking pages, UI, logos, email & business cards, Powerpoint templates, t-shirts, and redesign of the company mascot. My position expanded to include product planning for apps and widgets, and founding two of Spleak's sub-brands; GameSpleak (a video game themed site) and a VoteSpleak (politics / news themed site). Examples of my work: web design 1, web design 2, web design 3, web design 4, web design 5, widget design, logos, mascot 1, mascot 2   12/03 – 8/04 & 3/07- 7/07  PHOTOGRAPHER  Trader Publications  Hayward CA, Columbus OH As a photographer for the Columbus OH branch, and later Hayward branch, I shot photos of customers' vehicles for Trader's various publications and websites (ie: Auto Trader, Truck Trader, Cycle Trader, etc). I also helped customers to place ads, utilizing keywords and good formatting to emphasize vehicle traits. Other responsibilities include image-editing, shipping packages, errands, and working the booth at shows. 2008 - present  Last Gasp  San Francisco CA I have worked on two projects so far for Last Gasp, with Ryan Sands. The first was the offbeat horror/humor manga "Tokyo Zombie". For this title, I visually adapted the comic from Japanese to English, replacing all the original text, redrawing sound effects, and doing touch-up work. I also designed the book layout and sleeve. Ryan and I are currently in the early stages of adapting Suehiro Maruo’s “The Strange Tale of Panorama Island”, which is a based off of a story by Edogawa Rampo, Japan’s most famous mystery/horror novelist. 1/11, 1/09, 10/07, 1/07  Intersection Magazine  London UK 1/07: Assistant to the photographer Alex Freund for the Nissan Bevel concept shoot, featured in the main fashion / automotive spread for the Spring 2007 issue. 10/07: Assisted photographer Yoshi Miyamasu at the Tokyo Motor Show. 1/09 & 1/11: I worked as the photographer for coverage of the NAIAS (Detroit Auto Show). 10/10 - 12/10 Clearpoint Ventures  New York NY Design for internal Powerpoint monetization presentations. 8/10 - 11/10  Maestro Market  San Francisco CA Design for internal Powerpoint monetization presentations. 6/10 - 10/10  Sympoz  Denver CO Graphic Design / brand identity / UI for start-up video lecture website. 2/10  Lake Tahoe Visitor's Authority I assisted commercial photographer Sean Murphy as he shot for their ad campaign. 1/10  History Channel / Flight 33 Productions  Los Angeles CA I shot architectural stills for an episode of History Channel's "Life After People", which aired in February 2010. fall 2009, fall 2009  Electric Ant 11/08, 10/09 Electric Ant In late 2008, Ryan Sands and I launched our magazine / comic & literary anthology “Electric Ant”. I have handled the graphic design and layout, as well as illustration, and some of the comics. I also helped to curate several indie comics stars to make interesting and funny content. He is the designer who penned the Ford GT supercar. 9/08 - 10/08  Infectious  San Francisco CA I did several product & model photo shoots for the website of the car / laptop / wall art company, Infectious.
